Step Up to the Next Level! It’s time for our official Kato Martial Arts belt grading. This is your opportunity to demonstrate the skills, discipline, and techniques you’ve been working so hard on, and prove you are ready to tie on that new belt.

Whether you are going for your very first rank or stepping up to a senior grade, grading day is a massive milestone and a celebration of your continuous progress on the mats.

Format & Schedule To ensure every student gets the focus, space, and attention they deserve from the grading panel, we will be splitting the grading between Juniors and Seniors.

Please keep the full 1:00pm – 3:00pm window open in your diary for now. We will be releasing the exact time slots and specific details for each group shortly.

Preparation Checklist:

• Uniform: Please arrive looking sharp in a clean, complete Kato uniform (Gi) with your current belt tied correctly.

• Gear: Bring your full sparring equipment (if required for the grade you are testing for).

• Mindset: Bring plenty of water, arrive warmed up, and bring your absolute best Kato spirit!
