The Foundations of Kato Martial Arts

Kato Martial Arts was built on a lifetime of training, discipline, and passion. Founded by 4th Duan Blackbelt Shifu Nik Fowden, we uphold the traditions of Tang Sou Dao, a martial art rooted in precision, strength, and resilience. As practitioners of Tang Sou Dao Ren Yi Wu Kwan, we carry forward a system designed to develop not just skill in combat, but also respect, discipline, and inner strength.

Our training is guided by a grandmaster with over 40 years of experience, ensuring that every lesson stays true to the principles of Tang Sou Dao. Founded by Grandmaster Meng Kwong Loke, Tang Sou Dao draws from Shaolin martial arts, blending its rich heritage with practical self-defense applications. At Kato Martial Arts, we continue this legacy—honoring the past while preparing students for the future.
